First meeting of the Preparatory Committee for the Stop TB Regional Partnership of the Eastern Mediterranean Region

The Preparatory Committee Members for the Eastern Mediterranean Partnership to Stop TB met at the Regional office on 10 January. The Committee Members strongly endorsed the establishment of a Regional Partnership because of the added value it can contribute to accelerating the implementation of the Stop TB Strategy and in achieving the Stop TB targets. The one-day meeting was inaugurated by the Regional Director and attended by high-profile committee members, a representative from the Global Partnership to Stop TB as well as members of the STAG..
