Consolidated Appeals Process (CAP) 2011

On Wednesday, 6 October 2010, the CRC reviewed all 59 project sheets that were submitted to the health cluster for CAP 2011.
The comments, including detailed feedback on gender marker per project sheet, were sent to all submitting agencies on Thursday, 7 October. Partners can now revise the project sheets by COB Monday, 11 October, before the CRC will meet to score projects for inclusion in the CAP 2011. If you submitted a project sheet and have not received feedback, please urgently consult with the health cluster at cluster@nbo.emro.who.int.

The CAP 2011 preparation is in full process. All organizations who wish to submit a health project to the CAP, kindly consider the following points and follow the timeline below:

1. Templates, guidance notes and all background information for the CAP 2011 is available online at: http://ochaonline.un.org/somalia/AppealsFunding/CAP2011/tabid/6760/language/en-US/Default.aspx

2. CAP 2011 project sheet template. Please fill the form as required and submit to the health cluster latest by COB Thursday, 30 September 2010.

3. Make sure that the submitted project is in line with the health cluster objectives as outlined in the response plan and the CAP inclusion criteria (both documents are also available online at above link)

4. Agencies which have newly joint the health cluster and/or have not actively participated in the health cluster are advised to fill the project sheet reference form

health cluster lead forwards all updated project sheets to CRC members for final review and suggested level of priority

Wednesday 13 Oct

CRC meeting to endorse final versions of project sheets to be included in CAP 2011 and consolidate level of priority per project

by COB Friday, 15 Oct

health cluster lead submits consolidated final versions of included project sheets and list of prioritized projects to OCHA

 

The preparation for the CAP 2011 has started. Field consultation workshops for all three zones have successfully been conducted in mid August. The exercise with completed in the country-wide workshop in Nairobi. More than 200 participants from the 18 UN agencies and 100 local and international NGOs attended the workshop. The Nairobi workshop pulled together the zonal priorities and built consensus on overarching strategic priorities which will guide humanitarian response in 2011.
