Aim of project: To increase and strengthen the use of SOPs throughout sites for 17 blood banks in Cairo in the collection, handling and storage of blood units.

Methods used: Data collection through questionnaire, flowchart, fishbone diagram.

Solutions: 3 training courses to inform managers of blood banks on use of SOPs and provision of SOPs to participants.
