Patients for Patient Safety Workshop Cairo, Egypt, 26 - 28 March 2007
The WHO Eastern Mediterranean Regional Office is organizing the above workshop from 26 to 28 March 2007 at Kuwait Conference Hall. The objectives of the workshop are:
To develop healthcare consumer Champions who will act as supporters of the objectives of the Patient Safety Program and who will work in collaboration with the World Health Organization, as well as international, national, regional and local policymakers,
Articulate values, principles and commitments that will govern the Patients for Patient Safety (PFPS) healthcare consumer partnerships in the Eastern Mediterranean Region.
Develop a regional strategy in the Eastern Mediterranean that makes use of the WHO/PFPS London Declaration (mentioned above), formulated at the first Global Patients for Patient Safety Workshop in November 2005.
To develop new tools useful in addressing prioritized patient safety goals of WHO and its member states in the Eastern Mediterranean Region Participants from Egypt, Iran (Islamic Republic Of), Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Pakistan, Sudan, Tunisia, and Yemen, as well as experts from India, Switzerland, United Kingdom Of Great Britain And Northern Ireland, United States Of America will be attending the above meeting.
