Lebanon is experiencing a
variety of problems related to fresh water; including deteriorating services
and networks and mismanagement
and uncontrolled exploitation of ground water resources. The
main objective of this project is to strengthen the Drinking Water
Quality monitoring system in Tripoli through the establishment
of a regional water quality control Laboratory in Tripoli and to increase
the Public Awareness on the safe use of potable water.
WHO has been waiting for the local
Government/officials to inform about the local as well as the logistics
issues in order to initiate the planned activities of this project.

of children who practice
healthy and hygienic
behaviours.
