EIVDENCE AND INFORMATION FOR POLICY
Situation
analysis
Continued efforts are still needed to
enhance the efficiency of National
Health Statistical Information System (NHSIS).
Despite the progress made in
strengthening the information process
particularly data collection and data
processing the NHSIS is still not close
enough from playing essential role in
the health decision making process.The
fragmentation of NHSIS into independent
sub-systems relating to each central
directorate, did not facilitate the
enhancement of data quality and data
use.
