PAME, in collaboration with EMAME, organized a training course on medical journal publishing at the University of Health Sciences, Lahor, on 25 April 2013.

The training was attended by Dr Maqbool H. Jafary, the President of EMAME, and Dr Akhtar Sherin, the President of PAME. Shaukat Ali Jawaid, Managing Editor, Pakistan Journal of Medical Sciences and the Secretary General of EMAME, facilitated the training.

The course was attended by 50 participants from undergraduate and postgraduate medical institutions affiliated with UHS. Participants included editors of various journals published in Punjab and senior faculty members nominated by those institutions which intended to start publishing their own journals. Participants were provided with educational materials revised and updated following feedback from earlier courses conducted at Karachi, Rawalpindi Islamabad, Peshawar and Isfahan University of Medical Sciences.
