About This
This Initiative
The World Health Organization / Regional Office for the Eastern
Mediterranean - Regional Centre for Environmental Health Activities
(CEHA) established a web-based "Information Clearinghouse"
to provide speedy access to screened and topic specific information,
highlight regional initiatives and innovations, as well as
facilitate the cooperation and integration of information
and efforts in various environmental health aspects. The Information
Clearinghouse provides useful information such as: documents
(published &
un-published), project reports, project information, success
stories, web links and resources, directory of contact addresses
(individuals & institutes), …etc. Although the main focus
of the clearinghouse is on Regional information and initiatives,
innovative experience from all around the globe is also included.
The clearinghouse covers such topics as water demand management,
drinking water quality, sanitation/wastewater management for
small communities, wastewater reuse and others. Within the
first phase, the clearinghouse main focus is on the topic
of Water Demand Management and Pollution Control.
