In Sudan, UNICEF, WHO, the World Food Programme (WFP), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) have joined hands in a collaborative project for poverty reduction and for achieving the targets of the Millennium Development Goals in 15 villages. The project attempts to fulfil basic social and economic needs of the vulnerable communities in South Kordofan through the introduction of BDN activities. This programme is a model for the joint programming under the United Nations Development Assistance Framework 2009"“2011.
