issues
Patients
drawings Competition
Drawings were selected from
Hopital de la Croix, and sent to EMRO
Drawings
and writing prose schools competition
Public schools were
contacted by the MO Education. Selection of winners will be made at the WHO office
in Beirut based on set criteria.
Selected drawings and
writings will be sent to EMRO and HQ for further participation in the regional and global
competition respectively.
One day
conference on Mental Health at Hopital de la Croix
Initial contacts were
made with the administration of the Hospital, and the idea is welcomed. The topics
proposed are attached
Press Information
Kits
The information kits received
from EMRO, as ell as the selected national information and resource persons and
institutions will be prepared for the press( written and audiovisual) and distributed
before the end of March 2001.
Production
of TV spots
Short TV spots will be
prepared basically covering topics such as national statistics on MH, cost of care,
alarming signs for MH recognition, etc. contacts are being made with researchers and
Ieading experts to develop the spots. The spots will be broadcasted free of charge on all
TVs.
Press
Conference
A press conference to launch
the WHD is planned , attended by the MOH, the WR and senior officials of UN and government
agencies. During the press conference, prizes of the laureates of the school Competition
will be distributed, along with a certificate of participation in the competition to all
the schools who participated .
Live TV
programs
The TV stations will be
contacted to integrate the MH topics in the live Tv programs. A list of resource persons
will be provided along with the necessary information.
