First Regional Training of Trainers Course on Medical Journal Publishing
13-16 December 2009

The First Regional Training of Trainers Course on Medical Journal Publishing was held at the WHO Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean 13-16 December 2009. Ten national trainers from 7 countries of the Region (Egypt, Jordan, Libyan Arab Jamahiriya, Morocco, Palestine, Sudan, Tunisia) were trained in this 4-day course, developed for WHO and delivered by UK consultant Pippa Smart. The Regional Office will be working with countries to implement national training. To contact a national trainer and organize courses in your country please email EMAME@emro.who.int. A second course is planned for 2010 to train trainers in other countries of the Region.

Training of trainers on Writing a Journal Article and Getting it Published
18-21 June 2007

A training of trainers course on Writing a Journal Article and Getting it Published was held at the WHO Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean 18-21 June 2007. Nine national trainers from 9 countries of the Region (Egypt, Islamic Republic of Iran, Lebanon, Libyan Arab Jamahiriya, Morocco, Pakistan, Sudan, Tunisia, Yemen) were trained and licensed to deliver this internationally known course devised by UK consultant Tim Albert. The Regional Office has supported several countries to implement national training.
